Inspired by the visual richness of Mexico City, Jaime Reynoso started his life as a cinematographer in Los Angeles at the prestigious American Film Institute. Since, he’s been able to build a solid international career shooting features, TV drama and documentaries in the US, Mexico, England, France, Mali, Colombia, Argentina, Cambodia and Cuba.
 
The indie feature Robbing Petter was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the 2005 independent spirit awardsCurandero written by Robert Rodríguez, was awarded best cinematography at the 2006 San Antonio FF. Cansada de Besar Sapos was nominated for the 2007 Gabriel Figueroa AwardTlatelolco, Sumer of ‘68 won best film at the 2013 Chicago International FFUn Extraño Enemigo was nominated for the X Platino AwardsThe Inmate was nominated for the International Emmy Awards as well as for best cinematography at the 2019 PRODU awards. A Cambodian Winter wont best cinematography both at the New York cinematography awards and the Canadian cinematography awards in 2020.
 
He was nominated consecutively for the 37th and 38th ASC awards, for The Kominsky Method (Michael Douglas) and Snowpiercer (Jennifer Connelly) He was also nominated for the first edition of the AFC Awards for Nightbirds, an episodes of Extrapolations written by Scott Z. Burns. Back in the music video days he worked with the likes of Café Tacvba, Juanes and Kenny Rogers.
